Scavenger Hunt Sunday 15.04.12

It's been a while since I've linked up to a Scavenger Hunt. Since I'm not doing project 365 this year, I have found my blog posts are a lot fewer and far between so I am intending to get back into the swing of things with some link ups!

Simple: A simple white bunny decoration for Easter. He's chilling on my Laura Ashley bedspread here!

Grain: Whole grain guaranteed shredded wheat!

Transportation: The keys to my Fiat Panda. I bought the keyring from San Diego zoo when I was about 11. Years later I found it clearing out and thought it was very appropriate for my first car!

Stitch: Stitching on a Gisela Graham basket which I use to keep stationary items in, on my desk.

Bubbles: Straight from the washing up bowl, nothing too fancy for this prompt I'm afraid.

Model Boats

A great uncle of mine passed away recently. He was a collector and builder of model boats and he left two to our family. Here are a few photos of one of the models of a Dutch boat.

I love the tiny little rubber ring, so cute! The attention to detail is amazing - note the hand rail and door handle. Its's difficult to see the size in these photos but these are tiny, tiny details.

 Love the red bell! Since we live 15 minutes from the sea, this model goes quite well in our house.

The details of the real boat. The model scale is 1:40.












I love the intricate detail on this model. Everytime I walk past I have to stop and have another look. It reminds me of a doll's house with all the little objects that are so realistic. Hope everyone's having a good weekend!
