Today we added the icing and red and white fruit to the cupcakes and dusted them with icing sugar - they went down a treat at the street party we had to celebrate the Royal Wedding. And oh what a day! I got really emotional watching the wedding, which is unlike me and felt very proud to be British. I loved eveything about the wedding - Kate's dress, the kiss on the balcony, the cute page boy and bridesmaid outfits. It really was a fairytale day.

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge: Pets

My absolute favourite subject to photograph - my one-eyed greyhound-cross, Minty. I think I have more photos of him than any other subject. I took this one when I felt pictures of him were getting a bit similar so I went for a different angle - look at that sniffer!

The Paper Mama Photo Challenge: Black and White

This photo was taken this morning on our first walk on the beach this year, the weather in the UK is glorious at the moment, it's hotter than the Mediterranean. I was trying out my new tripod and trying to get a picture of Minty (my furry baby) and I together. Except he decided he'd had enough and wondered off.  I still like this one because he's obviously the boss with me following after him, which is too often the case!
