I went to the premiere of the film Abduction at the Imax cinema, London Waterloo. Taylor Lautner was there and I even walked down the red carpet whilst he was standing on it!!

Day 243
I bought a ticket to see Wicked one evening and when I was half way there (walking) the heavens absolutely opened. I have never seen rain fall so hard and fast. This was around the hurricane time though! Times Square was totally deserted as everyone rushed inside restaurants and stores. I was already drenched to the skin so decided it didn't really matter if I stood and took a photo or two! You can't really tell in the photo but the water was so deep it was well above my shoes.
When I got to the theatre everyone was buying Wicked sweatshirts because their clothes were so wet. I bought and oversized t-shirt and changed into that. The show was outstanding and totally worth getting soaked for!

Day 242
One of my favourite things that I did in NYC this year was go on a free tour of the New York Public Library. It was so interesting and the various rooms and halls were beautiful. It was a small group of people and some wandered off before the end of the tour but I stayed for the whole thing. I love how in the 3rd picture, you can see the people of New York bustling around outside but inside it was a peaceful haven! Check the library's website for times of tours.
